Happy New Year!

Jan 02, 2014 20:44

Well, that was, er, festive, I suppose. I ate far too much, saw a bunch of people who I only ever see at Christmas, and watched a lot of telly. Not going into details, but I am not feeling especially jolly at the moment. The whole ghastly, expensive process is still going on, too, On Saturday, I am to meet up with the niece and head back to the ( Read more... )

I have to say that no matter how late your presents get done, I admire you for actually making things. And lateness doesn't really matter, you know.

Also, even though 2013 was dreadful for you in many ways, two bright spots for me were getting together with you TWICE in the space of a month.Looking forward to more of that in 2014!
:)

I really am hoping that 2014 is kinder to you, Alex.

Oh...and I love your otter excuse. Maybe you SHOULD write.

Giving is always a lovely feeling and it really doesn't matter if things are late, it's the thought that counts and I'm pretty sure that the people who know you love the effort and thought you put into your gifts.

Sorry you aren't feeling jolly at the moment. I know things haven't always been easy in 2013 and the blasted mad-back-to-work-woman doesn't help foster happy feelings. I laughed at your inventive cancellation though :)

Sherlock was good wasn't it? It's such a shame there's only 3 episodes in a series :(

Happy New Year to you my dear. May 2014 be a good year and perhaps we will manage to meet up in London. We can hobble along together :)

Happy New Year to you too!

It's a real pity the Sherlock "seasons" are so short. We watched the (excellent) wedding episode last night, and realised that this time next week, the whole thing will be over.

It would be lovely to meet up some time this year - I'd love to get up to Ely some time.

Ely is a easy day trip from London, although you'd be welcome to stay over as well. Mid spring might be a good time when hopefully the weather has settled a bit :)
