late notice for those who didn't see it on facebook or twitter...tonight on ABC1 is the episode of the Collectors where I talk (and show) some of my vintage swimwear collection. Some of the womens suits are paraded by Candice deVille (Super Kawaii Mama) and the whole thing was filmed at Circa, so you get to see the shop if you haven't seen it

Niels loves the two dresses I bought, I'm looking for a real occasion to wear the blue one, thank you so much for following your dreams and creating Circa, it is something to be so proud of.

I didn't think to mention it to Mum - doh! But then, she's possibly quite happy to not see a beautiful young thing in her lovely 'new' bathing suit :P

I am extraordinarily happy with the dress and am trying to figure out if I have enough attractive layers to add to it to wear it to a concert and party tonight (it's currently 3 degrees outside!), I'm going to do my absolute best. I love knowing a bit about the time when it was created and the reason for the simple line with one beautiful frill, I was very proud sharing that knowledge (well, your knowledge) with Niels. He is also a big fan. I love that he loves frocks and is pleased when I spend money on them (especially in your wonderful shop :). I am so glad it fitted in and that you were there to point me in the right direction. Thank you :)

(Aside from the ew.... pre-worn lingerie aspect).

And the model was far more attractive than, say, Dita Von Teese. *feh*
Even the ABC could have given the shop a smidge more of a plug though.

No pre-worn lingerie - the ones they showed were all brand new, repro styles from What Katie Did and Kiss Me Deadly.

Almost all our vintage lingerie has never been worn: it needs to be in excellent condition. Some of the '30s petticoats have been worn before, but they're silk and haven't been worn for many years.
