paris, je t'aime

I had a real good day today. I went to Antwerp with my brother and sister, we did some shopping and I bought us all our first Ben & Jerry's ice cream (they just opened a store near the station) and afterwards we went to the movies.

We saw Paris, je t'aime and YOU ALL NEED TO GO SEE THIS ONE!!!!! It was such a good movie, best I've seen in quite a while. Seriously!

It's a story about love. (No, it's not Moulin Rouge!) The movie is divided in segments, all of them directed by different people and with different characters in different places in Paris. It may sound confusing, but it's not, I swear. It's a bit like Love Actually, but less polished and I don't know, I think it's more original (I like Love Actually but sometimes it felt like they were trying too hard. Um. ... Yes.) and IT'S SET IN PARIS, YO!!!!! It made me laugh, cry and it made me feel good.

Actors include: Natalie Portman, Steve Buscemi, Juliette Binoche, Willem Dafoe, Nick Nolte, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Wes Craven, Elijah Wood, Gérard Depardieu and many other (less known or French) actors. Directors include: Gus Van Sant, Gérard Depardieu, Wes Craven, Alfonso Cuarón, Ethan Coen, Joel Coen and many others.

Release Dates can be found here. Trailer here.

AND NATALIE PORTMAN ALWAYS LOOKS DOWNRIGHT HOT WITH HEADPHONES ON. And people seem to like to put brightly coloured wigs on her head.
