I feel for you. =/ College was frustrating for me because of money issues as well. I opted for working more as opposed to extra loans, my grades suffered, and then I lost my aid altogether because my GPA was too low. (oh, the irony) I left school shortly after that.
It's all unpredictable. You think you should be doing it one way only to find out it's the other (and vice versa)...

Anyway. If I could offer some advice. I would say: keep the job, but find another one (work study is a great program by the way, get on the list for next semester for sure)... try to keep the apartment (or find something cheaper/more reliable), and if your aid falls through, just re-apply for next semester.
Whatever you do, try to stay. If you opt to move home, it makes starting up school again at a later date much more difficult... trust me, I know. >_
