Title: In Trouble, end

Series: Wizard's familiars

Length: 1k

JD talked to his new friends all the way into the hall. People hailed Sapulvado where he sat across from the door. A fellow student confided that everyone knew Sapulvado, but no one knew him well.

Did people not know he was with J Danyal?

Sapulvado looked at his phone and waved ( Read more... )

Sequel of when the kitten is born and afterwards? Kitten's first magical flickering/spark from its little paws?

I'm glad JD will have his family close but still not all that close and that is a very good reason for why JD and his kitten needs to stay on campus.
It's a good place for raising kitten familiars too.
Jay's got family there other than Sulpulvado and now JD? *G R I N S*
And Mom has that formula for having kittens.
A wealth of plunnys waiting to be written.

As for your work schedule... You are one person. Your new manager needs to realise that he can't stint on your dept and if he keeps up with the scheduling abuse you're going to be out sick which will leave him in a worse state.
Hopefully those who have already been out sick will be back for Monday. Recomend ... don't answer the phone. Manager will have to help with the work or delegate someone(s) to do it. He's a pretty poor manager otherwise.

Maybe. I have an idea. But the 50 hour week took a lot out of me, so I'll have to play catch up with all the things I let slide. Especially since this week will probably be 50 hours as well ( ... )

Formula? Is that why JD's parents have so many kittens?

I'm a bit confused, but I think that's because I read the majority of this as it was posted and the last little bit has been a bit...ick and I haven't comprehended things I've been reading as well as usual.

Jalil is the Persian Wizard, which means very early access to magic and multiple familiars? Vito is a familiar with weird wizard-ish powers who can also use a familiar?

Am I right?

Yep. Yep to all those questions. How JD's parents only had 1 kitten during having him hmmm well often first litters are smaller. Maybe it's the ovaries figuring out what they're supposed to do and then it's 'let's go multiple egg releasing'. I want to know how XX + XX = XY. Gotta be magic. Alllllllthough there are those individuals who have multiple Xs and Ys and they're turned off. The Xs I know are called Barr Bodies.*

Did you notice how Frogs very pointedly titled this In Trouble, Part 6 - end*hahahahaha* Excuse me I need to go hunt through the plunny hutch. Though I have lobbed a few in my comment above already. There are sequels and prequels and side stories that are still possible but I think Frogs needs to decompress and be lazy because that is a killer work schedule she's got AND there's this thing known as family too. *sighs* I'll wait a day or two and then lob the volunteer plunnys ( ... )

I'd say hand-wavy magic. But if you have to get sciency I'd say all familiars have three chromosomes. (Otherwise half of a male/male pair's children would be stuck with YY and unable to father daughters). I met a woman this week whose 18 month old daughter has a Y in there somewhere. The ultrasounds said girl, the blood tests said boy ( ... )

Chimera, it's called when half or part of an individual is a different genotype. Something I read today was saying that such can happen with twins who fused into one individual. *shrugs*

Those 100 most ambitious places ... I'm not that ambitious though #13 on the boss' desk *smiles* that I could write.
