czech philosopher jan patocka writes in his gloriously titled book, /body, community, language, world/, that there are three movements to human life: (1) a rooting; (2) a project; and (3) a reflection. (i'm paraphrasing here ( ... )

You have a home, and even though that is represented by the physical, it's the essence of home that gives you that feeling. I do understand. enjoy it. :)

Exactly. Home means so much more than the house you're in, but the house can be an important representation. (Me, I'm trying to make "home" be about the larger home -- Camberville, and my friends in it, since I can't have a house. It mostly works. :) )

Also, I've been thinking about new things I can do with my dehydrator -- duh, I can make beet chips! And carrot chips, and parsnip chips, and potato chips. My very own Terra Chip bag!

I don't know whether I've ever told you that you've been one of my rooted role models these past few years. Not many of us have been lucky to land in our soul-homes, and it's good to have kindred spirits in different places.

Let me know how the dehydrator does with the beet chips -- my oven method is not consistent enough, and it's starting to drive me a little nuts.
