It's a Hot Hot Summer

So last couple weeks have been fairly uneventful, our very close family friends, the Lapka's, are moving to El Salvador as missionaries in about a month so we've been babysitting their little girls while they get thier things in order. They're selling their house this week so they're moving in with us on saturday, that will be an adventure. They ( Read more... )

*flails around a great deal* YOU'RE BACK! I MISSED YOU! Even though we were both quite clearly in the same city, YOU WEREN'T ON LJ.

:S El Salvador? That is pretty sweet, not going to lie. I do wish you luck with the three year old and eleven month old--should I pre-arrange your room next to mine in the mental facility? :P

Summer course? But-but-it's the middle of July! Am confused.

Oh, and um, I so hate you for seeing Transformers. I want to see that SO BADLY. Michael Bay can literally do no wrong.

Aaand so ends the longest comment in histroy. *bows out*

My internet has been on the fritz for days!! It's evil!! But I've been around- new icon post and that sort of thing. always room for that.

Oh I'm all fairly booked at the mental facility- I've picked my wall color and everything. they call it soft padded yellow.

The course starts july 27th and only goes a week.

I WILL marry Micheal Bay- seriously. He could have me at any time.

Really? My walls are velcro. And I have a velcro suit. It's going to be a party, not gonna lie.

*GASPS* YOU'RE CHEATING ON ALAN?! I have no words!

BTW, my deepest condolences on Nathan joining the cast of Desperate Housewives.
...mwahahaha.

Ooh, an art class! Okay, so not something I would take, =D but good for you. But don't you get an elective in that course for the first year? Or did you fill that up with writing stuff too? And what's encaustic painting? I'd look it up but I'm in the middle of - this is going to sound silly - an economics discussion and I have as many google windows open as I can possibly stand. =P I may be a snob about a lot of things, but I am willing to admit that I know sod all about visual art, and I'm always looking to learn new things. =3

El Salvador sounds cool; I'm not fond of the whole missionary thing, but since they're your family friends I'm willing to assume that they'll be the more likeable, less brain-smash-into-keyboard-lots types. =)

When are you going away? Or have you been? And when can we maybe hang? I had a dream that I won lots of money in a mall contest because I knew that the answer to the final question was "alan tudyk", so I gave you half the money and we went to Stockholm. I have consulted my psychiatrist cat ( ... )

Ooh, neat! Hope it goes well for you. I don't really know what electives they have but I'll probably take non-writing things if it's possible, 'cus you know, I'm going to miss my other classes. *wishes they'd let her register already.*

You see, "missionary" work like that I really have no problem with - I mean, it's basically the same stuff secular organizations do, you know, only the churches get far, far more money. It's all the mother-theresa (don't get me started) stuff that really bothers me, partly because I don't have a very high opinion of the religion in the first place, but mostly because those missionaries often do an awful lot of damage and very little good. =S

We're leaving for BC on the 13 and I'm having my wisdom teeth removed on the 27, but other than that I think I'm free. Any ideas of things you'd like to do?
