Evil, evil exam... the multivariate calculus midterm, that is. There was one problem where I didn't even know how to integrate the arclength formula, which probably means I forgot a trick in integration. When the other Harvard freshmen look at how my schedule is shaping up to be, even they caution me not to burn myself out. I suppose that's a bad sign. In any case, this might be my last post until... Thanksgiving maybe. Thanks for your inputs on the proff's questions. I might forward them tonight.

I just listened to a fascinating lecture by Professor Daniel L. Smail where he posed the question, "so when does history begin?"

I am torn between defining history as starting at around the Sumerian civilization, or 4,000BC, or the start of modern man, about 40,000 BC according to the latest estimates.

I went kayaking today. I took some awesome pictures before I dropped the camera into a puddle in the kayak. I'm trying to get Kodak to take it back and fix it.

Kayaking is harder than I give kayakers credit for; too strong a stroke will torque you in the wrong direction.

The good news is that the SD card survived. I'll upload pictures soon
