In about 15 minutes, I’m departing to head to the Loop, one of the St. Louis institutions for shopping and hipster-ism (plus, the home of Fitz’s Root Beer; if you’re ever in St. Louis and you like root beer, go to Fitz’s). I’m meeting a friend and we’re going to check out the George Washington exhibit at the History Museum, where at least four or ( Read more... )

Yay for trying to care about history. I totally know what you mean, history really didn't do anything for me until I got older and was able to go see some of the places that sparked a little interest. Several years ago and a few years in a row, my parents and I did the road trip thing and planned each one around historical sites in the area -- starting with a 10 day trip thru Texas because we decided we wanted to see The Alamo while watching the John Wayne movie. We had a blast.

Clint and Natasha as pairs skaters -- brilliant! Thor, Steve and Bruce as hockey players couldn't be more perfect.

And, because I'm kinda evil, I'm going to tell you about my latest idea. I think I'm going to share this with anuna_81, just to spread the love around ( ... )

Man, now I'm thinking of the beginning of Sahara, which was an awesomely underrated movie and I will keep defending it to whomever I please. :) I could see Natasha and Clint working together as divers. I went to your journal and checked out all of the pictures. YES. Surfer Thor is hilarious.

This isn't a subject I'd write personally because somebody in another one of my fandoms already did it and I don't want to be seen as copying them (especially as I don't really like their work much to begin with), but it's cool! You should come up with more headcanon. My brain's mush right now, so I can't really go deeper, but I'd love to see more!

Also, your trips sound AWESOME.

You must come up with headcanon with me when your brain's not mush. I had an embarrassingly good time finding those pictures. ;)

I haven't seen Sahara yet, I think I'll have to now though.

The trips were awesome. We did the road trips 5 years in a row and I'm so glad I got to spend that kind of time with my parents as an adult.

Last night I sat down and started thinking about what I would need to learn about scuba-diving in order to write this (luckily, my brother has his certification), and everything, so clearly you're pushing some right button somewhere. *shakes fist at you*

I got to travel with my parents this year (we went to Disneyland) and it was a blast. It only became stressful when my sister, brother, and brother-in-law-to-be showed up, really, because there are family tensions and they don't seem to get the whole idea of "this is a vacation! Geez, relax." I don't think I'll be traveling with my BIL-to-be again anytime soon because I don't want to spend the whole time driving up coastal highways hearing about how the Midwest is better. Gah. If you're going to have that attitude, just stay in the friggin' Midwest.

Sorry, grumbly this morning. :)

Hahaha, so much research to do first. I'll add it to the queue, I guess. crazy4orcas keeps giving me headcanon about the scuba diving AU. :)
