We absolutely LOVED the Cloisters. A real jewel at the top of manhattan :)

I lived right on the edge of Fort Tryon park, where the Cloisters are. It's one of the prettiest parks in the city too, in my opinion.

The Japanese place was Sushi on Hudson in the West Village, the cupcakes were from Crumbs (the East Village location), the falafel was at Golan Heights in Washington Heights, and the cafe in the park was New Leaf (I remember something about lavender creme anglaise that still sends shivers down my spine).

Now I'm homesick :)

Thanks for those reminders! What was the name of the Indonesian?

OMG Lavender Creme Anglais. I had almost forgotten about that. Wasn't there also some sort of basil infused divinity? I obviously need to keep better notes on what I eat while I travel

I don't remember basil-infused divinity, but it sounds lovely. I might have to give that a shot whenever I'm home in STL (and have access to a stand mixer).
