HOME TEAM: This Time It's Fictional
As I may have, er, mentioned once or twice, cidercupcakes is hosting a HOME TEAM BATTLE over favorite female characters.
This is awesome, except that some of my favorites are up against some of my OTHER favorites, and that... is not okay, because several hundred of you are terrible people who want Juliet Burke and Wendy Watson to be sad. (I like to think they're going to be hanging out in sequester together. Ask mosca, Ponderosa is where the magic happens. BUT I DIGRESS.)
In salute of these 64 awesome female characters, I move we get fic- at least a drabble- for each randomly-paired-up set of awesome women. I don't care if it's gen fic, ladyslash, whatever- just fic where they interact and they are awesome.
(In other words, if you hate one of them and wish to see them die? This is probably not for you. Character-bashing isn't okay in that post, and it's not okay here.)
Under the cut is the full list of match-ups for round one. Random late-night crack-filled drabbles and long, thought-out logical stories both encouraged. Post something (mentioning which characters you're working with would be nice!) and I'll keep track of links in the main post. COMPLETELY REASONABLE GOAL: at least one story for each match-up before the round is over. Or, you know. Within a reasonable amount of time. Whichever.
Look, in just a few days, over 1500 people took the polls to say they have favorite awesome women. So there should be NO PROBLEM getting out 32 drabbles, right? :D? :D?
When each round is over, I'll put up a new post with the next list of pairs for your ficlet-writing needs. But for now you should focus on important things, like Veronica/Fiona fic for penmage, who told me to mention that she wants that more than anything. (No, guys, seriously, I AM WILLING TO TAKE REQUESTS AND MENTION THEM IN THE POST. I'm pretty easy.)
