WWI Soldiers

I found this while exploring old photos I inherited in a box from family. It was a photo that belonged to my grandmother. After some discussion with other family members, we are fairly certain that at least one of these men must be my great grandfather (that grandmother's father) when he was a soldier stationed at Camp Meade in MD (nowadays known ( Read more... )

I agree. I like the way they seem to be saluting through a window that opens onto the past. Like shadows.

In enhancing I was mainly trying to draw out enough detail to make out uniform features or prominent facial features. No real luck, but the great grandfather remains the strongest possibility. (There were not a lot of WWI soldiers on that side of the family.) He met my great grandmother while he was stationed at Camp Meade. It would make sense.

I can't see the photos, which is too bad because I was stationed at Fort Meade for 2 1/2 years! i was looking forward to seeing what it looked like then :)
