Beautiful. How do the Buddha statues stay clean if the caves have a lot of bats in them? Are there caretakers or something?

It sounds like something else I would like to do. I'm compiling a list now, thanks to you and your travels!

I didn't see caretakers but that would make sense. The little river trip was great and Laos itself is a great place - I definitely recommend it.
