Among other random happenings this week: 1)  Spotted a pair of these in a shop in Bakewell.  They looked even nicer in the flesh - and I nearly got them...  But I was refused.  "When we get a dog," beloved said. "Alright,"I said, "I'll get the wellies now and we'll buy a dog on the way home." And I was still refused.  He has a good point, since
