I'm feeling rather out of sorts today - mostly because I'm worried or alarmed for a number of people, namely shatterdaymorn and ravensgrace, who in particular are having really crappy days. I'm sorry guys, and I hope that you're ok and things improve soon ( Read more... )

"burble" suggests to me underwater laughter, but I don't know why.

I think of a baby making quiet happy nonsense sounds. Like "ubadooba? babaloobadoo?"

The best use of "burble" was The Muppet Show's version of The Jabberwocky. Scooter is narrating, and gets to the line "and burbled as it came." The fantastic Jabberwock puppet approaches the camera going "Burble burble!"

Scooter turns to the audience, breaking the fourth wall, and says "This has got to be the weirdest sketch we've ever done."
