This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with folkloristic anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written ( Read more... )

[Please, Helios, please still be awake.

Giles' voice, when it comes over the journal, is tired, rasping, and faint.]

...Helios? Can you hear me?

[Bed. Giles doesn't even try to fight it once he realizes that he's on a bed - he collapses down onto his back, pressing his hand over the wound again and staring up at the ceiling.]

Bandaging first.

...then I n-need you to send a message to Buffy, Helios. Let her know w-where I am, and that I'm all right.

Y-yes of course. I'll be sure to do so once I know you're not going to keel over. [ Coming back over with a tray and placing it on the table beside the bed. Helios isn't an expert on this by any stretch of the means but...a cotton ball of alcohol for the wound should do and then bandaging. Simple enough first aid...he can do this. ] It might...sting a little.

[ He is just...going to tentatively remove your hand from the wound Giles. Please don't mind his skin, please don't. And he will just clean the wound to the best of his ability before putting a bandage over it. ] It's mostly healed thank god for Nala. I'll definately have to give her my kind regards.

[ A sigh as he sits very heavily in a chair nearby, rubbing his eyes with a forefinger and thumb. ] I-I'll contact her now then. [ He'll look up as he takes out his journal. Not being able to keep still he'll get up and begin to pace. ]

Buffy it's Helios. I-I have Giles in the clinic he's fine just, um, very weak. [ It's a small message but hopefully it'll ease some concern for ( ... )

[It does sting, but compared to the pain of having Derek tearing into his neck, it's a sting that Giles can easily ignore. He just lays very still as Helios works, mentally checking off the steps he's following.

He doesn't want to risk a blood transfusion, not when neither of them have any real medical training beyond first aid. If he can just sleep, his body should get to work on recovery...]

...give me your hand. [The one you sliced open, Helios.]

[ Confused look. It might be the tiredness getting to him again but he doesn't quite follow. ]

My-my hand? [ He figures that one. ] Ah, it's fine. Nothing an easy healing spell won't fix.

Precisely.

Give me your hand, Helios. [Don't you dare argue with him.]

[ He's really not going to get out of this, is he? Just a shaky sigh as he holds out his hand, shaking? He's not shaking. Okay maybe he is a little but this is just making him so nervous. He shouldn't be he knows it but he is. He will stop a few feet feet from the bed. ] Then-then it shouldn't be a problem.

[No, no he's not. Giles was rendered completely useless to Buffy by being bitten, and Helios has gone above and beyond tonight. He's going to reciprocate if it kills him.

By now, Giles is well adjusted to the fact that Helios is just colder than normal. Maybe one day he'll find a good opportunity to ask, but considering all of the points where it's come up in the past, there hasn't been one yet. Especially not now.

He takes Helios' injured hand in both of his. Then he takes a deep breath, closes his eyes, and calls on the Filial healing spirit.

She answers that call more readily than she has since his return, taking most of the strain off of Giles in his efforts to close the cut. And close it does, after a couple of minutes. Without even a scar. The effort leaves Giles breathing more heavily and teetering on the edge of unconsciousness, but it's actually the most successful healing he's ever managed.]

I-I told you didn't have to. [ Helios sounds annoyed he honestly could have done it himself. It really wasn't any trouble but he appreciates what Giles did. He just lets out a sigh looking at his hand and then Giles with a frown. It turns into a thin line as Giles' breathing gets heavier. ] You need to rest.

[Yes, he does. He needs to rest badly. Nala did a lot of the work, but even opening his eyes is too much work right now.]

Th-The bandage will need changing in a f-few hours.

...can you check back then? [And rest until then?]

[ He'll be looking down at Giles for a few brief moments before replying. ] Of course. I'll be back in a few hours. [ He will definately be trying to rest himself. Though he's still a bit worried but he is certainly going to try. ]

Thank you, Helios.

[He makes a few token efforts to actually make himself comfortable on the bed, and those token efforts are enough to sap the rest of the energy from his body and make him fall into a heavy, hopefully healing sleep.]
