Oh, that's funny. :D I love the progression from the past to the present (more or less) and how Izumi tackles dealing with two headstrong Elric boys. :D

Thank you! You know those boys would be handfulls, even while trying to be good. They are just too smart.

Definitely. Plus, they'd just egg each other on.

Heeheehee, adorable. And timely for me, I just spent the day with my cousins' many energetic kids.

Ah, but at least they can't transmute things. Glad you liked it!

this was my prompt so thank you very much. I loved what you did with this. I loved the progression through from meeting them to trying to keep up with the trouble they caused (because we know they caused plenty)

I'm glad you liked it, and I'm sorry it took so long. In the Elric's defense, most of the stuff in this was done with the very best intentions. Not that those impressed Izumi much once she saw the remains of her kitchen.

On the upside, Ed and Al know a lot about housework, now.

no problem

well yes, they did mean well. So there's 5 pounds of cooked rice inside a burnt out kitchen but they tried. poor boys

Aw, well, once Izumi stopped Mason from adding water to a grease fire, I'm sure they contained the damage to the stove and surrounding areas. Which those boys scrubbed for *days*.

Burnt rice is such a lovely smell, too...

This is just so precious! I love how all characters start to come together as a family and the humor just adds to the fun. Fav parts are of course Izumi 'teaching' the gang and the whole cooking rice equation - they would so think like that! Brilliant. XD

Thank you! It's fun to try and imagine how very intelligent but uneducated kids would reason things out. Also, I was taken with the image of a street gang when the equivalent of someone's mom kicks in the door and starts handing out ass whuppings.

You know she wants to throttle them as often as she wants to hug them. Maybe more often.
