Tag - I'm it!

I have officially tagged my whole LJ. This means that you guys can subscribe to my Sour Revenge tag and this (through some process that I am to understand is not dissimilar to sorcery) lets you keep track of it without having to check my journal or friend me. I have many tags, so if you are more interested in icons, other fandom fics, or my rl- ( Read more... )

I just want to point out that if you track a tag, you get email notifications whenever a *new* entry is posted with that tag, so you should try to get into the habit of tagging all new entries if you want them to be useful in this way.

Thanks, I'll try to make it a habit. I was wondering how people used tags. It didn't occur to me that it'd be e-mail notifications... I just guessed it'd go to their friends pages or something, so I couldn't figure out the exceptional benefit for doing this. Now I get it. =-)

Oh, it's fantastic, and I use them all the time.

A lot of times I don't have the time to actually scroll through my flist, but if there's a special update or something that I'm waiting for, I get a notification in my email, which I nearly always have open. It helps make sure I don't miss something I'm looking forward to. In fact, sometimes if I read WIPs that *aren't* tagged, I'll stop reading, simply because I miss several updates and my interest wanes.

Oh, wow! I'm glad I was encouraged to get tagged-up, then. Between the exceptionally sporadic updates and that lack of being tagged it's no wonder I've lost so many readers over the years. Hopefully now that I've changed the latter, I'll be able to see to the former.

I'm still trying to get my layout to make me happy and I can't work some aspects out. You seem fairly savvy about LJ things, so could I please ask you a question or two?

Thats great. Wish more writers with WIP's would take your example it makes following favorite wip's and looking for updates.

Now that this tagging project is nearing completion, any plans on updating Sour Revenge, I so wanna know how things are going to change now that Xander fed spike.

Sour Revenge has been entirely mapped out. All I needs to do is get my lazy bum to actually write the last few chapters for posting. I've been in a creative/productive black hole lately which has been keeping me from writing.

Not being ambitious makes me lose interest, losing interest makes me less ambitious... it's a terrible downward spiral that I'm trying to break.

=-D I'd love a cheering section! All this tagging business is renewing some of interest, though, I'd have to say. I even opened my outline and found that I'd had a few paragraphs already written.

These are all very encouraging. I say, this story just might get written!

*hugs* Although it may not seem like it, but Sour Revenge is always in my mind and constantly holds presence on my to-do lists. And really, I feel like I should be thanking *you* for not abandoning it!

So, thank you!

The new layout looks fabulous, hon! It's so good you're all tagged up. As Snowy said, it's an easy peasy way to keep up to date with a WIP, even if it's not updated very frequently. Go, you! If you're interested in non-LJ layouts, thefulcrum has some idiot-proof instructions for different ones. I should know - that's where I've got several of mine. *g*

Hee! Hm... Maybe one of these days, if I can't get inspired to write, but I have the time to be creative, I'll make myself one. Life on Mars, methinks.

Also, I've already picked out a layout I like from that comm: http://community.livejournal.com/thefulcrum/12805.html#cutid1

Whattaya think?
