Artie heard the phone going off in the other room. Not many people still used home lines these days, but Artie's mother would never let hers go. She had gone out to a book club meeting, so Artie rolled through the living room to pick up the wireless phone.

"Art." He answered.

"Art? Like is that short Artie Abrams?" Puck questioned foolishly before even saying hello. Dan raised an eyebrow at Puck and mouthed 'What about hello?' at him. Clearing his throat Puck paced back and forth again.

"Um, it's Puck. Noah Puckerman. I know it's been a couple years but uh, hi."

"Yeah like Artie Abrams. I went to Art in school.... but that doesn't really matter. Good to hear from you Puck."

Artie wasn't lying when he said those words. He had wondered what happened to his friend for years. Artie didn't have a lot of people that he could call friends in high school, but Puck was one of them. It was a weird friendship, but it worked none the less.

"Where are you? Sorry for being blunt but one day we chat, the next I call and you're gone."

A small chuckle and sigh of relief came from Puck. He wasn't sure why he had expected Artie to flip his shit on him. Well that wasn't true. The last two former friends he got in touch with flipped out before calmly talking to him.

"Uh, well rehab." Puck said as he sank into a chair near by. "I was a little all of the place but uh, I'm cleaning up my act man. It's sort of why I called. I owe you an apology."
