Thanks - glad you enjoyed it. I agree - I hope they don't pull a S4 Tyra and just have Tim essentially disappear for eps on end.

aw, I loved it so perfectly Julie to come expecting story and to walk away with much more than that...I love that Tim still looks like Tim too. I'm scared they are going to make him cut his lovely hair next season.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Was trying to keep it to canon but give the hint that there could be something more some day.

*dusts off Tim icon* Wow, it's been a while since I've read any new FNL fic, thanks so much for this.

Honestly, if it weren’t for bad luck, that boy’d have no luck at all.

Oh, Tami Taylor. Truer words were never spoken.

I also love the idea of Tim being all Tim-like and nonchalant about jail. To be honest, he's probably seen worse.

Thanks. Leverage has entirely taken over my brain, but I really enjoyed the chance to write FNL again.

I'm sure the first few weeks were rough for Tim, but I think he has the personality to be able to weather just about anything.

Awwwww....

“You watch too much TV,” said Tim, running a hand over the books. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

This bit made me giggle snort and blink back the tears all at the same time. Tim's oh so dry humor, plus, the choice of books that Julie bought for him, both of which are about the journey from Boy to Man.

A lovely little collection of moments. I only hope the next season is this sensitive and tender.

Thank you. :) I was trying to find books about brothers, but I've never been able to find the literary equivalent of the Tim and Billy story. I went with Tom and Huck, partially because of the figurative journey aspect but also because of the freedom depicted in the books. I can see Julie seeing them as perfect - as giving Tim an outlet for his imagination.

And here I thought it was just as sly call bacl to Tim's christmas gift from Jilie in ATBB!

This was so bittersweet, I loved it. It's so like Julie to see the whole situation as a confirmation of her own worldview, only to ultimately have her worldview cracked open just a bit. One of the things I like best about Julie is that she has the intelligence - emotional and intellectual - to allow that to happen, to allow herself to grow and see things in a new way, even if it hurts her pride or makes her feel a bit foolish. Great job expressing that. I also loved how Tim was so calm and accepting. What else is new, right? Oh Timmy.

I had to laugh, too, because I'm working on a post-S4 futurefic that deals with Tim having been in prison, and is Tim/Julie as well. There were a few things in here that made it obvious that we're totally on the same wavelength! LOL. :)

Thank you - I think you really articulated something I've always known about Julie, but have never been able to put into words.

Will have to remember to keep an eye out for your post-S4 fic. I haven't been as good a reader lately as I should be. :)

No, thank you - your fic inspired my thoughts! :) Any chance you're going to continue this, or are you ending it there?

Ugh, it's probably going to be a bit of a wait. I'm having a hard time seeing clearly where the characters might be a few years from now, and balancing realism with my constant urge to see things through Tim/Julie-tinted goggles.

:) I'd say it's a very slim chance I'm going to continue this. I only did it because of Meg's prompt. Leverage has completely invaded my brain and I'm signed up for the Leverage Big Bang, so I think that's my next two months spoken for.

But I *am* signing up for Yuletide, so maybe I'll get matched with someone who wants FNL Tim/Julie futurefic. :)

Good luck with yours - I know how that is, the realism vs the ship.
