I don't understand it either when I hear stories like this. This is why I seriously think that we need a license to breed in this country... it would solve problems like this.

I don't know if you heard more about this one, but she apparently had told people that she was feeling overwhelmed and didn't want the kid. Just goes to show we should sterilize the terminally stupid.
