"Oh my god, you're verbally impotent!"

When did In Plain Sight become such a brilliant show? SERIOUSLY, IT'S AMAZING. Two years ago I would have never thought that I'd call my beautifully cracky, purple prose-filled show brilliant television, but there you have it. Every single episode this season has been excellent, and I am just blown away by how right everything is now. It's a ( Read more... )

This week's Glee was soooooo much better, mostly because I didn't feel like punching half of the characters in the face. Oh Will/Emma. You were my OTP but now I'm thisclose to being done with you. I just feel like it's become all about Emma's Problems without acknowledging Will's very huge ones.

Oh Finn. I go back and forth on him too, but mostly I like him because even though he can be a dumbass I don't think he ever intends to be malicious. I can't hate on people who do stupid things because they're stupid. "Open Your Heart" was STUNNING. I've never really cared for Rachel/Finn but now that it's Finn pining for Rachel it's a lot more intriguing.

Sue is magnificent. Always.

Will/Emma has become all about Emma's problems, and I think that bugs me the most. She told Will that he shouldn't compromise for her crazy, but... isn't she now compromising herself for him? It's like all the show is doing is showing how much they don't fit together, and they're not changing because of having known each other, they're changing because they have to in order to be together. Blah.

I can't hate on people who do stupid things because they're stupid.

Ah, you've explained exactly why I have a fondness for him even when I'm mad at him. He's just kind of helpless sometimes.

SUE! ♥

In Plain Sight is actually one of the only shows right now that has a partner dynamic that I can't get enough of. Most of the other procedurals I have right now are more lone wolf-y. But oh god I ship Mary/Marshall. I actually first met you on that comm, we talked about Life, and I wanted to ask to friend you but I was too scared. Oh god, that was when I was staying in North Carolina, In Plain Sight, Mary/Marshall fic, The Beatles, and Stephen Fry were my only beacons of light in those two months.

Yeah, I can't get over how it feels like Mary/Marshall was basically tailor-made for me. The only thing that's missing is an age gap. I love the partnership on Warehouse 13 too, but that's one where I don't ship them romantically, at all, which is a first for me.

We did meet through Mary/Marshall, didn't we? OMG, that was back when I was mad obsessed with Life and was promoting it to basically everyone on the Mary/Marshall comm because I was convinced that if they liked the Mary/Marshall dynamic, then they'd love the Crews/Reese dynamic, too. I too wanted to friend you back then, but I am super shy when it comes to such things (it took bonding over ASH a year later to finally make me sociable enough to ask to be friends!) Sadly, you missed my Damian Lewis phase. My Damian Lewis phase was quite amusing. Oh, did I ever point you in the direction of piecesofalice's Marshall/Dani fics? Because they are a thing of brilliance.

Oh, In Plain Sight! I actually miss the cracky/funny S2 feel, but only a just slightly because I already have two drama heavy shows I really into this season, and I never expected IPS would be the show to take TWW's place of making mt cry every week. How did it get to be so good? And how is it they've made Mary/Marshall ever more heartbreaking and obvious than ever? I love how it's a ship where the chemistry is totally there and perfect, but it's also *written in* so I might actually have some faint cause for hope.

It makes me want to look for Mary/Marshall fic! Do you have any you'd recommend?

Dude, isn't it weird watching IPS without the crack? It's like another show, but not really, but sort of. I just can't get over how emotional it makes me now. There were select moments in past seasons that got me, but usually the drama just made me laugh like crazy. Now it is actually good drama.

Sadly, I am so out of the loop with M/M fanfic. I was an avid reader during season 1, but haven't read a thing since. I know that randomrattle is quite popular, not sure about anyone else. But fic gets posted just about every day to mary_marshall, so definitely check that out. There's also quite a few rec posts on there, too.
