First of all, a mighty CONGRATULATIONS to purenightshade on the birth of her new baby boy! He's beautiful. I'm sure everything will work out fine. :D

Next, hooray! I got a card from daddysmutantkid in the mail today and sent hers off by return post. Thanks, love. I'm currently wearing the present gelf4 sent me, and am extremely glad of it. *hugs* toomuchfandom, because I'm a perfecrastinator, ( Read more... )

Um. Yes. That's my neologism for today. Just seemed...fitting somehow. Although, I suppose I could have said, "tribbles-in-my-pudding," and been even more cryptic.

Since I've been re-reading Lovecraft, who has a lot of rats running through walls, rats-in-my-pudding is appropriate.

My money is on Ginger.

Huzzah for Lovecraft! I went through quite a Lovecraftian phase once upon a time. Came right after Edgar Allen Poe, and right before the Sylvia Plath/Nathanial Hawthorne. Did I mention I was an odd child?

Mine too, clearly, since I lost a similar battle a year ago. But I've got to admire my mother for sheer optimistic determinism.

Kirk is not politically correct.

Tripe yay with extra fries!

I was once advised by a shopkeeper that TNG must be better, because it was set further in the future. My riposte? It's clearly set in the past, because it's politically correct, and that's already dead and buried ;)

By the 24th century, one would hope such policies would no longer be necessary.

TNG must be better, because it was set further in the future.
What? That has to be the most unfathomable argument I've heard all day.

Sounds as witless as Ter-ray-za's advice of eating alcohol-soaked raisins as a medical cure.

As a medical cure for sobriety, perhaps.

Kirk vs. Picard....I cannot decide! I love both of them!!!

I can see that they each have their strong points, absolutely. It is Kirk's ultimo-girl-magnet quality that vexes me.
