How to transfer a clip...

I have a clip on my DVR. I would like to put it on the computer. I know there's got to be SOMEONE on my friends list who knows how to do this as many webmistress' as I know, plus Naters...

Any advice?

If it's the cable company DVR, it's impossible to get a direct copy due to copyright concerns, it's completely stuck on there. The only other way to get it on there is to get a PC TV card, hook up the cable box and wait for it to record manually from a software program.

not worth it then, but thanks. Any idea about DVD's? My laptop has a DVD thing, so I can play them, can I clip them to use to make music videos, or am I SOL?

You need a dvd rip program to rip the DVDs onto your computer... I have one saved that I tried to send Tiff let me find it and upload for you
