Bellatrix had decided dogs were likely to be the most practical choice. Cats were awfully small, and she wasn't about to give Narcissa children right off the bat. The three mutts she had collected were tethered in the deepest cellar of Lestrange Manor, where the years of neglect were barely noticeable. Recalling the nights she had been instructed in such rooms always brought out her feral grin.

The ward she had set earlier went off, alerting her to Narcissa's arrival. Ascending the stairs, she perked up the hem of her rouched black skirt. Her top was a simple sleeveless turtleneck of deep crimson. By the time she reached the main level she had decided to first discuss Augustus' proposal, to determine how Narcissa might feel about departure - though perhaps without putting it quite so bluntly.

"Cissa?" Bellatrix called out when she found the main fireplace empty.
