The owl came, not during breakfast with all the rest of the post-owls arrived, but during his brief free period right before his afternoon lesson, a double-period with Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs.

Fiery rage boiled his blood as icy terror froze his bones.

This bastard was threatening his family!

And Lucius fucking Malfoy had spoken with Fenrir Greyback!!

There was going to be hell to pay.

He could not get his hands on the scumbag threatening him.

He could not sink his best skinning-knives into Greyback's mangy pelt - the only hide he still desperately coveted, the one that would be his last lycanthrope skinning and the first and only he would enjoy harvesting.

But he bloody well could throttle Lucius Abraxus Malfoy within an inch of his life. Or at least until his perfectly coiffed Barbie-doll hair was in shambles

Severus's fury preceded him into the room, starting June out of her concentration before he even entered. She blinked at him, wondering what had him in such a temper suddenly.

And why she thought she sensed an edge of fear beneath the anger.

"Oh-" she replied belatedly, though he was already disappearing out the door. "Oh, of- of course. Sure. I'll do that!" But he was long gone.
