I would like to offer my belated congratulations on restoring and re-opening the school so promptly. That you did it all on your own terms, without accepting Ministry funding, is admirable.
I write now to enquire about the Defence Against the Dark Arts teaching post. I was an auror for twenty years and no longer have any ties to the Ministry-- both things to recommend me to your school. Idleness is no longer suiting me, and even the usual year of employment in that post would be a boon.
I'm open to meet with you at any time about this position.
