I wanted to put more in that comment, but I really couldn't find the words for it. It was beautiful in how it was rendered, and that made the awfulness of their situation so much more there<\i>.
This was really ... hard to read. In a good way. It fit the prompt really, really well and was really well done, in general. God, Uhura and Chekov. Seriously.
Oof, not what I expected to break out the new Chekov icon for. But, brilliant work. "Aliens make them do it" is a cliche I enjoy well enough when it's the sillier "and they lived happily ever after" kind, but the ones with realistic interpretations are just, well, awesome, in that punched-in-the-chest way, like the above commenter said.
This was also vivid in a way that made me feel grimy. Urgh. (By which I mean mega kudos for that.)
I am very new to Live Journal culture. How would I go about crediting you, and is it alright to steal/borrow icons? I feel guilty for all those other icons now. I also do not understand memes or where to leave prompts, but that is a question for someone with more patience, and on a thread that is not someone's fic review. Thank you all for your patience!
By fffaaaarr the best ST fic I've read to date. This is now bookmarked as favorites and linked to my buddies. I really appreciate the format of this story and the subtle details. You left the situation to our own imaginations (a very dark place hard to capture with words), though you easily conveyed the severity and the absolute need that Pavel and Uhura have the sex!or-die.
I am a skim reader and I read this one word for word, twice. I'll probably come back again to read it a third time. And a forth.
Absolutely perfect. Every word had it's place. Thank you so much for posting.
