This totally came out of a conversation with kay_willow about the sheer, ridiculous amount of unnecessary random pairing communities for Bleach. I mentioned something about my two favourite crack 'ships (Ishida/Tatsuki and Chad/Orihime) and how the fanbase for them wasn't large enough to warrant their own dedicated communities. And then I got to wondering

I like the idea of Ishida/Tatsuki, but someone ruined it for me by calling it leftovershipping -- you know, "I ship the people [person?] they like with other people, so I'll throw them together because I don't want them to be lonely and convince myself that they're happily-ever-after." :\

But I do have an interest in them! It's just that if I listed every pairing I have an interest in, my interests list would be a mile long. X3 I ship lots of pairings -- three each for Ishida and Tatsuki, just as an example.

Seriously though there's too many shipping communities. I should add Chad/Orihime to my list, though. It's my second favorite Orihime pairing because sdlfkjsfl Chad was just so sweet after Urahara was mean to her.

I guess Ishida/Tatsuki is sort of a leftovershipping pairing for me, to a certain extend, but I don't like it just because it "ties up all the loose ends" or anything like that. I think it was one of akuni's fics ( this one, maybe?) that first introduced me to the idea of IshiTatsu, but as soon it was suggested to me I thought "Wait, that'd totally work!" But I digress, and I'm going to shut up now before I let on just how much I've thought about how they would work together for what's supposedly "just a crack ship" :D

Ichigo/Orihime/Chad would be adorable if I cared more for OT3s. X3 But word on Chad/Orihime.

I do think Ishida/Tatsuki would work, actually. You can tell that I think so because I don't ship anything that I don't A) think would work, or B) enjoy because it is pain. XD Like, I don't think Kira/Hinamori would work, so I only ship it one-sided on his part. And I do think Kira/Kiyone would work, so I do ship it, despite the fact that this is such an epic crack pairing it DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A COMMUNITY :O :O

But yes. It's just that the idea that I liked the pairing not for its own possible merits as much as a side-bonus for another pairing is saddening. But I really do like it. :3 I think my ships are sort of like,

Ishida: Ishida/Rukia, Ishida/Nemu, Ishida/Tatsuki
Orihime: Ichigo/Orihime, Rukia/Orihime, Chad/Orihime
Chad: Chad/Orihime, Chad/Ishida
Renji: Renji/Rukia, Renji/Hinamori
Ichigo: .........Ichigo/Orihime

Renji/Tatsuki has eleven users, what. Even Chad/Orihime has less than that, and at least they've, y'know, talked.

It's crazy! It's like new comms pop up all the time, and half of them are completely redundant when there are communities like bleach_het out there if all you want to do is pimp fanworks.

Beware my stalker-ish LJ detective skillz! The crack pairing comm you're talking about is shuuruki, right? I think I can find it in myself to forgive you :D
