Doctor Doom's throne room, early morning fh_fillers March 15 2008, 11:35:28 UTC
Doctor Doom, kept alive and imposing through a mixture of sorcery and cybernetics, sat in his throne, reading an incident report of yesterday's excitement.

Doom was not pleased. As such, he summoned the commander who had taken charge of the situation and waited...

"Lord Doom. Good morning. You requested my presence?" the commander asked as he walked into the throne room.

"There was an incident last evening," Doom said. "An assault on Castle Doom that you defended against. They made it all the way to this very throne room before you captured them. Oh, and among the assailants were young Jamie Madrox and an arrogant man with a 'laser sword.' This is what your incident report stated this morning."

"That's exactly what happened, lord," the commander said, beaming with pride and expecting a promotion for his work.

Bars? Intact. Wall? Still solid. Grape Judas Squishy? Behind a force field and out of reach. Prisoners? Still there.

They'll find out soon enough that Doom would like a word with them.

[OOC: Open for Echo Team. The commander will be along eventually.]

Jamie sat close to the bars and looked at the Grape Judas Squishy with mournful eyes. It was torture. Torture I tell you.

Yep, still pouting. It was a less severe pout because she was really tired. There was no way she was going to lie down and sleep in a dungeon. It was gross in here.

Eventually the same commander from yesterday came down to the dungeon. "Open the cell," he could heard to order. "No restraints."

Finally he turned to the prisoners, looking a little fidgety. "Doctor Doom requests your presence."

The commander had led the Echo Team to Doom's throne room for an audience with the good Doctor himself. What was Doom's agenda? Only he knew for sure.

[OOC: Please wait for Doom to ping in.]

When the commander arrived with the team from Fandom in tow, Doctor Doom smiled to himself. He was going to enjoy himself today. It seemed a fitting way to mark the day the angels sent him into the past.

"Welcome to Latveria. I apologize for your accommodations. That was the work of my commander, not of Doom," he said. His armor showed little change. The mask was perhaps slightly different, but that was virtually it. If a person were the type who would notice such things, they might notice that Doom's voice was older and somewhat more mechanical than it was the last time they saw him. And yet, he still sounded very strong.

"Doom," Anakin said evenly, positioning himself slightly in front of the group. Old, overly protective, habits died hard.

"You have nothing to fear from Doom on this day, Skywalker," Doom said. "Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for my former commander."

Doom raised a hand and fired a laser blast at the commander. When the commander realized he didn't have a head anymore, he fell over, dead.

"I understand I've recently acquired something of interest to your group."
