Alright, folks- yes, today is September 11th; yes, I will never forget it and hope no other true American does, either- however, I also agree with this post- The Faux Patriot Day:

I wasn't so pessimistic six years ago. I never thought we'd lose as much as we have. I thought that the bullshit we're reading about now just happened elsewhere. Sad to see I was wrong.

I totally sympathize. Personally, I knew there would be "changes" but I never could've imagined- much less expected- how ridiculous, pointless, and stupid some of these changes could have become.

Then of course I always think "what I would've done had I been in charge..." and hope against hope that I would've been able to resist the strong political pressures to do the exact same idiotic things they really did do.

However, in the big picture the truth is that we can recover from this- both our self-inflicted misery as well as the "trauma" caused by terrorism/Islamofascism in our lives. Be strong, keep hope, and always be willing and able to fight for what's right. That's what keeps me going, anyway.
