it doesn't really take all that long for the babies to hatch and grow up :).

I had cardinals make a nest in my rose bush. I blocked the path with a flower pot so no one would bother it and we just managed around it for a while.

That nest is a work of art - the elegantly placed leaf, the bulb, the windswept look...

Yes, I agree. And the eggs are a wonderful shade of blue.  So our entrance will be dark for a while.
