Wow, the weather has been just beautiful this week. All of a sudden I don't need my coat during the day, and it's starting to smell like Spring. I hadn't really realized just how bored I was getting of Winter ( Read more... )

I really think they should have explained Bubastis somehow, haha. (But I'm glad she's still in it... I was worried they had cut her at first.)

Veidt does listen to some strange music, though. It seems like the soundtrack of a really generic sci-fi film.

She just shows up at his side, and I can imagine some of the audience being sort of confuzzled and then chalking it up to Veidt being crazy, or something.

Someone in the comments of that post refers to a part of one of the songs as something like "drowning a midget" and, really, such unusual descriptions actually fit.

I watched the movie without having read the graphic novel (I'm not much of a comic book person) and I believe my exact words upon returning home were "I think that's probably the best movie that I never, ever want to see again." However, I believe that's partially because I bought the largest drink and bag of popcorn they had, ate it all, and felt slightly sick afterward. When ever I think back to it now though, I always do so fondly. Rorschach in particular was pretty damn cool. "None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me!"

I thought some of the music choices were a bit, well, weird... I mean, I liked all the songs, but they didn't seem to fit or something. I'm not sure what it was, something seemed off. Having said that, I think The Times They Are A-Changin' was an excellent choice.

The movie made me want to read the graphic novel, actually.

If you feel inclined to read the comic then I certainly encourage you to do so. Obviously there are some significant changes in the film adaptation and you might find them amusing :-D The biggest is probably Adrian's Big Plan (which I won't say a word about *zips mouth shut*), but there are others, and some interesting things that were just left out. Rorschach's still pretty damn cool, though.

I've heard nothing but good things about The Times They Are A-Changin' and the sequence it is associated with. It definitely gave the movie a strong start, or continued the strong start, or whichever. Loved it.

I'm only looking for part-time! But actually I haven't even applied anywhere. I haven't the slightest idea where to apply I SUCK AT JOB SEARCHING. Seriously, all my other jobs practically fell in my lap D-: But I need to do something because I already decided not to take summer classes ... registration has passed.

YAY PART TIME WOO! :P

Walk through town, and go into every single place and see if they need someone. No joke. And apply for all of them. Ones you hate too! And then you'll have options when it comes to choosing which job you want. There are some bigger places now too, like Staples and WalMart and stuff which would be fun to work in. (I still need to get a job at walmart and get fired streaking through it.... Oh, and dance on McDonald's tables naked...)

Okay so I watched Watchmen this weekend, and I'll admit it is not really my type of film. However, the 'Hallelujah' had me choking on my popcorn because it was so funny.

I dunno... call me a prude but I don't get why Dr. Manhattan didn't wear pants more often! :p

I don't know that they intended 'Hallelujah' to be funny, but I think that pretty much everyone will agree that it was :-D
