Hi everyone! As you can see, my plan to get the comm rolling on DW in 2019 is a little delayed, and not without reason. I have not forgotten, and if I have not replied to your messages, it is because...I don't really know what to do

You're a great leader, it's not easy running a comm! Personally, my preference is staying on LJ and I'm happy to be of help to you!

I would prefer DW. I think this and one kinkmeme are the only reason I come to LJ at all anymore, and I find DW a lot less buggy. Also, DW doesn't have anti-gay language built into their ToS like LJ does.

My preference would be to keep it on LJ. I'm very much in favour of a LJ renaissance … apart from two people, everyone I know only uses DW as backup. That being said, I think you're doing fine, these are all valid considerations. As for helping out, if you decide to stay around LJ … I'm not sure what kind of help you are looking for but PM me, I'm open to try.

I would love for the community to stay on LJ. I have a page on DW but rarely go over there.

The thing about DW is it seems to be popular one minute and then forgotten about the next. I primarily use my accounts as actual journals and cross-post, so I can't say much on the fandom front. But, what I will say is there's not a large fandom presence over there (that I've encountered, anyway). A lot more old-school journal folks looking to read and connect with others. Now, there has been a recent influx with Tumblr refugees, but I'd take that with a grain of salt. A couple years back when crap hit the fan here, a bunch of people jumped ship and made accounts over there. Well, within 3-6 months, 98% of the people I'd added abandoned their journals. I predict the same might happen with all the Tumblr peeps.

The final decision is up to you though and I'll follow you to wherever this space ends up.
