With regards to the "Why aren't I happy?", I think a more grammatically correct sentence you be "Why am I not happy?"

As for the rest of it, it was wonderful. Quite sad, really and it's true that love doesn't quite solve everything. In effect, we begin to wonder...if things are as good as they get, will Bree ever be happy?
