Oh shit!

I forgot to participate in democracy. I feel really bad, actually. I've had my progressive voter's guide prominently displayed on my end table for days now. PLUS I meant to go down there and get my name off the absentee list once & for all. It didn't stick after the last time I tried in 2004. Well, I'm glad YOU participated in democracy.

Lunch was nice. We should do that again.

Ut oh!

OK, know what's lame. The other day on my way out the door I notice that the Progressive voter's guide was attached to my doorknob. When I came home it was gone. And I'm cynical enough to have conconcted a conspiracy theory that some conservative went around tearing those guides off of the doors.

Lunch was nice. And we should definitely do it again soon.

I took another stupid diagnostic test and my math score went down some more. My verbal score went up but I'm still pissed. There is still time and I know what happened. I got two wrong really early one. Blar. But it was also the first time that I took the entire thing including essays all at once.

Arggggg. And so I annoy you with more GRE paranoia. Sorry.

I've said it before, but you seriously don't need to stress about the GRE. You're the only one who cares. That said, I have S's book for you whenever you want it.

I should sue Amy for copyright infringement but it turns out you can't copyright your personality.

You're just like Luke?! Then I'm glad that I friended you.

Curmudgeons with hearts of gold are awesome.

Well, thanks. (blushes)

I resisted admitting it for a while. And then I realized that resisting it was in itself curmudgeonly.

It's off the air, but rent the DVDs if you can; "Farscape".

It's Star Trek on acid. No wait, it's better. It's emotionally complex, with great characters who are never quite what they seem, and two charismatic star-crossed leads...John Crichton; part swaggering tough-guy hero, part sensitive romantic, and part pop culture quoting wise-ass...and Aeryn Sun; tough as nails "peacekeeper" with a take no shit attitude, and a heart of gold. Just don't tell her she has a heart of gold, or she'll break your jaw.

It's the story of a band of fugitives and misfits on the run, caught in the middle of a galactic battle, alternately trying to save themselves, trying to prevent an all-out war that could threaten their galaxy, and trying to keep from killing each other.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll say wtf?!...but you'll never be bored.

The end. :)

I'm a huge fan, too, of Kevin Smith, so I'd have to say "Mallrats". LOL. Shannon Doherty as his girlfriend, lol, too much. The power of the man ;) He was also pretty cool in "Vanilla Sky" and "Almost Famous".

Ha, I almost said something about Mallrats before but I didn't want to sway your answer. :P

That movie is always funny no matter how many times I watch it.

Kevin Smith had a guest spot on VM recently...as a convenience store clerk. Hee.

Joss is going to be on it today but I forget what he's going to be.

Arggh. I hate when LJ eats my posts. ::sympathizes::

I love the Daily Show. I really, really do. And I think it reflects well on Americans (or at least a segment of us) in a way that most other "real" American news does not. :)

I missed the Kiera Knightley one but it's probably on the Tivo.
