OOooohh, this was a lovely break from Mrs Dalloway (does Kat care about a stream of consciousness? Kat does not). I haven't read Buffy in a long while, but I loved this representation of her, especially the struggles with adulthood.

I'd quote the bits I loved, but that would be most of it.

I missed the note that this wasn't in the Glimpses verse, so in my brain, Dean goes home to Faith that night and tells her Sam's fucking the girl she never did *g*

Well, it *could* be a Glimpses AU, really. The only thing is that I implied in Glimpses that Buffy is with Spike, so. Also, it's not necessary to read that to get this so I just figured...

I like this a hell of a lot. The idea of Sam as a Watcher makes so much sense, and it's fun observing him through Buffy's eyes. I'm apparently not feeling very eloquent at the moment, because I ought to be able to do a better descriptive job than this, but the whole fic just seemed very apt, both in the details (humming Metallica, rhythm of the dialogue) and in the big picture (basic concept, progression of scenes). Fantastic.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you think it came out with a cohesive structure and theme since, uh, it really was all written as a series of comments over the course of an hour or so.

Hee. Oh I likes it. I like the short little splatters of scenes and Sam fucks like a gentleman, but hard, because of course that's true! And I like the lines that note the changes, not just from denim to leather (because Sam is a different caliber of men than she's used to, definitely), but also Willow and her as adults. Like, really truly adults in normal everyday ways now, from sex toy shopping to seeing a co-worker.

However, I'm feeling there should be more graphic porn. Yis. Especially where Sam is still aw-shucks and Buffy still tops. And I do believe I'm free tonight, and since I'm still in a writing mode...thanks for the ideas!

Yay! All that is exactly what I was trying to express. Oddly though, you know, the Buffy boyfriend who was also in the back of my mind was Riley and the differences between him and Sam and why it might work better this way.

And if this inspires more Sam/Buffy porn...cool!
