I'm glad you liked! I know it was sideways a bit from the prompt.

This might not have been the snarky prank war you intended, but what you did with it was absolutely wonderful. What a gorgeously faceted and developed insight into the lives of the deck crew. What you did with Cally and Seelix and their relationship with the Vipers they work on is a joy -- what you did to give the Vipers themselves personalities! -- and I love it.

Thank you ever so for such lovely feedback!

I think there is room, in a larger story, and particularly with...ah...recent events in canon, to further explore Cally and Seelix and their interactions with...machines. I'd like to read stories by other people, who look at the mechanical bits of the Galactica universe.

Thank you ever so for your kind words!

*laughs* Now you're tempting me to try my hand at some stories like that!

Seriously, I'm a sucker for detail, and in that regard this story had me in spasms of glee.

ETA, because I forgot to mention earlier, I love the title as well.

This is achy; lovely glimpse into the lives of the people we don't see.

Thank you! I know why the show spends so much time on the Adamas and Roslin, et al, but I do wish they had more time to deal with other characters as well.

Thank you again!

*is very pleased that you are pleased*

I have to give credit to my reciept for focusing the story around Seelix and Cally - that was a given.

Your comments here brought about more ruminating on my part - about the RTFF and how much they depend on machines (love your line about Galactica) and yet that isn't much addressed in canon *or* fic. And about...well...toasters.

Dang it, I'll have to rewatch the whole thing now. Oh, hardship...*g*

(Thank you for your kind words, and for the rec.)

I love the crankiness of the planes here -- of course, because they're so old and are getting so much hard use now, when they ought to be resting in a museum, and some of them must be rebuilt from spare parts by now. And this may not have been the interaction you wanted, but I really love it -- it's precisely the kind of coda the episode needed.

And the deckhand clearing off the burn marks, as well.

It wasn't what I thought timjr wanted, is what I meant. In exchange 'thons, I'd rather get "this is exactly what I wanted" from my 'recept than a stack of other comments. This one just didn't come out that way.

ought to be resting in a museum

*grins* Yes. Someday, I'll tell you why that phrase is deeply satisfying to me, in connection with this story.

I'm glad you liked, and thank you for your kind words.
