They don't HAVE to be, but that's the way they're trending. ANd it's difficult to find appropriately sparkly, shiny fabrics that appeal to Her Highness that are natural fibers.
I kind of want her to FEEL like she's got a solo dress, at least at home.
I know better than to really try to get into designing dance dresses, as it would go from "fun" to "work" very quickly. Just trying to find something that won't!
