Gurl Powah! Ya-Tah!

Friday after speaking with my husband he strongly suggested that I come home early. I didn’t think that was being responsible so, I finished what I was doing and then packed up and left a little early letting the boss man know too. He said he was going to wait around until the CFO came back. I just shrugged and gave a single nod and moved down the ( Read more... )

Congratulations! I'm really, really happy that this worked out for you! People are discriminated against or treated badly too often, and I'm really glad this story had a happy ending.

Well, CHOMPS was saying that the reason it took so long to get things solidified with my position and salary was because, the boss man was waiting on the CEO and the CFO to make a decision and that HE was my biggest advocate. HR has assured me that the ball was ALWAYS in his court. He set my salary, he was in charge of bringing me on, he was given a budget that had all ready been approved by CEO and CFO to bring on new employee’s and what have you.

I told HR that I was really offended. I was treated differently and I didn’t understand why and I couldn’t help wonder if I would have been considered for the position if he’d had been the one interviewing me rather than the previous IT Director. This made both of us stop and think.

Recently, the HR Director has pulled in Mary-Jane-Boy and the Previous I.T. Director (who demoted himself to the Network Guy) into her office.

CHOMPS sounds like a weasel. I'm so sick of the way companies treat their most valuable assets.......

Go you!!! I am so glad things seem to be working out. Sorry you have to put up with the douche-baggery before you see results, but good for you taking care of you and standing up for yourself.
