The engagement offer that I mentioned in a previous post came through. I'll be singing as soloist with a big local chorus and orchestra at their December concert. I am super excited! The repertoire is right up my alley, and I'll be getting great exposure. It's an ideal project in many ways.

I spent yesterday afternoon and this morning mending a number of items of clothing that needed repair. Today I listened to Joan Baez while I mended and felt like a crunchy hippie. I love getting my life organized ( Read more... )

The weather was warm and bright today, so I went for my first real bike ride of the season. It was a little over an hour, with rolling hills. Just the right amount of effort required- not too hard and not too easy. It was satisfying.

I interviewed for the office job today. I think it went reasonably well. But it came out pretty early in the interview that my husband's job ends in 18 months and we don't know where his next job will be located. I'm sure that weakens my position as a candidate.
