Well, the first AM scene was beautifully filmed, but it could be better without the interruption. The rest of the quest... I don't know the intention of bring Gawain into the AM equation. Merlin (character) fans may like that Merlin has a new friend, but I want something closer to ep. 1x11. The Fisher King and Merlin's scene is also good, I wonder if they will use the bottle of Avalon water (do I remember it correctly?) in ep. 3x10, so Merlin can become old.

Yeah some scenes were beautiful but i didn' like that in the end the quest was about Merlin. Why Arthur's character is never allowed to develop? I feel bad for Bradley. And yeah..Gwaine..i could have liked him if the writers were not so evidently pushing him into Merlin's arms. LOL The M/Gwaine hug scene imo it's to mock the A/M slashers it's as if they were saying "see? better you give up on A/M (because A he belong to Gwen) but here you go, Gwaine it's available"...nice. Sadly i'm a OTP and so...DNW!!

That is exactly my point about Gwaine and Merlin. TPTB are so transparent in their desire to shove M and G together so as to leave Arthur free for Gwen that it makes me uneasy. Also someone should do a picspam to compare the way Merlin looks at Arthur and at Gwaine in their respective campfire heart to heart talks. It's obvious how much more adoringly M and A look at each other. Gwaine is awesome but destiny is destiny.

I so much loved that contrast between the serenity and solemnity of the first scene and Merlin snoring like a lump on the floor in the next.

IKR? The quest was supposed to be Arthur's but in the end it turned out to be Merlin's quest. How exactly is he supposed to be the Great King when all the writers make him do is bully Merlin and make lovesick faces at Gwen? I want noble Arthur back.

of course he will be he very great king:
he will faint or go unconsious at the right moment and then Merlin fixes all, till he is about a 100 and 35.

So true. I feel bad for Bradley. He cares about his character growth a lot, but the writers don't.
