Nice review. Looks like this one isn't for me. Some predictable novels are okay, but it sounds like this one will just annoy me a lot further then other such stories. LOL

Insidious ivy is intriguing—there's just something haunting about unnatural plants. But other than that, this book doesn't interest me—I read Stine as a kid, too, but couldn't imagine going back to that sort of reading level now. It's good to know that I'm not missing much.

I've been reading this book for over a week now and I'm only halfway through it. It's just not grabbing me at all -- I'm pretty sure I had it figured out by page 30. I should have been able to easily knock this out in one sitting. But I read a few pages, get bored and turn to something else. (Not good considering the target audience certainly has a shorter attention span than I do.)

R.L.Stine... haha, brings back such fond memories.

I wouldn't touch juvenile horror ever again. Tried once, not too long ago... *shudder*

the creeping ivy sounds like the most intriguing "character" in the book. This is one that will not be going on my must read list
