Yes! I need something to read and something by Shinn is just what I need.

I just finished Cast in Chaos by Michelle Sagara two weeks ago. I started The Stone of Tears but got distracted by Cast in Chaos and had to return it before I finished... I'll have to borrow it from my sister and pick it up again.

I love Sagara but I got distracted from that a while ago.. For some reason I haven't liked most of Shinn's stuff after her Samaria series. It just seems...slow. Or like the consequences of the threats in the book aren't drastic enough. But I really loved Troubled Waters, and can't wait for the sequel.

Oh, that's good to hear. . . Sharon Shinn's been on my to-buy list since Archangel, but the past several years have definitely been weak. I mean, it's always pleasant afternoon reading. . . but so bland! Glad to hear Troubled Waters satisfies!

Trying to read The Sunday Philosophy Club by Alexander McCall Smith but it is beyond boring and slightly pretentious so far....if not then I'll move on to the overdue for reading Marion Zimmer Bradley Ravens of Avalon by Diana L. Paxson :) I know I'll love that!
