Community Center, All Day Monday

Fandom had worked hard, both inside and outside, for this party to happen. The corridor from the Causeway to the community center was as clean as it was going to get-- though some monsters still strayed in from time to time, they were easily dispatched ( Read more... )

You're going to get glitter all over you, and it's going to be fine.

Never mind that Atton was still in his battle outfit - the combination of Jedi tunics, gloves and battle armor he wore these days - or that his hands were aching near his lightsabers. He was going to be here, if it meant the island stopped doing whatever the hell it was doing.

He looked wary, though. Kreia didn't seem to want to shut up for more than thirty minutes at a time, and he doubted a party was going to throw her off.

Hey, a party!

Dante hadn't had the time to play dress up, but fuck it; he was there as soon as the whole thing opened, and practically made a beeline for Frank as soon as he got the chance.

This was ridiculous.

Cassandra did not so much attend the party, as dither near the door, occasionally glancing outside in case something might be inclined to attack.

Full armor was also not exactly party attire.

There's the usual moddable Fandom spread, all kinds of wintery treats and punch.

Edward had had trouble getting back here, inclined as he'd been to try and climb past whatever beasts might be lurking in the shadows, despite everyone's best efforts.

So he looked a tad harried as he came in; something he tried to fix almost immediately by attending the buffet. He was stacking up quite something, too.

Kitty felt like she hadn't done enough this weekend, but she at least had helped with the party, and even if she didn't get how this was supposed to help, hopefully it was something. So she was getting hot chocolate with way too many marshmallows and trying to be holiday cheerful.

Did you think Pinkie Pie would let you go on without party games?

[[ please wait for pinkie. ]]

Pinkie had so many party games! There were the classics like Pin-the-Tail-On-the-Pony and a bean bag toss and seeing who could eat a donut off a string without using their hands, and then some weirder things like bobbing for ornaments. There was a lollipop tree made of candy canes and a cakewalk where you won festive cupcakes and gingerbread. There was wrapping paper, tinsel, and bows to use to decorate each other like presents and Christmas trees, because Pinkie had looked for game ideas on the internet.

Hey, at least she wasn't expecting people to mummify each other in toilet paper to make them look like snowmen.

The stage is open to anyone who wants to put in requests and karaoke the night away. You sing, you crazy diamonds.

Provided it's Christmas-themed. The DJ is very clear on that.

Now you do.

There was a startled squawk as Pinkie managed to tackle Eliot behind a tree, then a lot of loud cloth rustling and zipper noises and what sounded like a hammer and wood creaking, and then Eliot was being pushed into the Santa area in full costume. Pinkie shoved a giant sack of presents into his hands, then trotted off whistling Jingle Bell Rock.

Eliot had absolutely no idea what had just happened.

"SANTA!" Christopher shrieked in terror before bursting into tears. "STOP KNOWIN' EVERYTHING ABOUT ME."

"Sorry," Anakin said apologetically. "Earth mythology is terrifying."

"Ain't arguin'," Eliot grumbled. He crouched down a little to look at Christopher. "Tell ya what, kid. You promise to do your best to be good, and I promise to stop checkin' up on you, huh?"

Seriously, there are a *lot* of colored Christmas lights, so there's no shade. But there are some corners where nothing's happening, at least.

Ada didn't really want to be here, but it was better than staying in the dorms and trying to ignore (and hide) all the writing of return to the sea and do mermaids even have souls? that kept popping up.

And if there was a way she could help, she wasn't going to hide under her bed instead. Which was why Ada had grabbed one of the lesser-used spots, and had a sewing box open at her feet. Bells, bits of lace and ribbon, sequins and cheap paste stones, fake flowers, even sprigs of mistletoe with berries of various shades that she'd stolen during advent.

One of her creations was currently woven through her own curls, pulling them back and away from her face so she could work. Yes, she was wearing a mistletoe crown, and was creating more flower crowns, mostly in small-sizes for the children running about, but she'd take special requests.

Hannibal saw Ada working and came over. "Those look lovely. Very festive. Not to mention poisonous."

"'An I must say, the idea of killing our ghosts with festive and poisonous crowns fills me with holiday cheer," Ada replied smartly, wrapping one bundle up with ribbon and reaching for a straight-pin in her sewing kit. "Boutonnière for the gentleman?"
