Max was wearing another of his too-tight t-shirts today. They were actually rather comfortable and they were great for not restricting movement. He looked around, still trying to get a feel for the people at Fandom.

With a sigh, Katchoo eventually headed over to the punching dummies and got to work on some of the basics. There were things she was good at, but different ways of incapacitating someone while sneaking up on them in a dark alley or that signature Parker Girl nosehold weren't useful in a club like this, and she didn't need anybody asking how she knew them.
This face-to-face sparring stuff was out of her realm of experience, and she wasn't terribly happy about that. But beating the crap out of a dummy in an undisciplined way, while terrible form, was at least cathartic.

"Keep your elbows up more, and you'll get more focus in it," Ghanima critiqued, eyes flicking over Katina impassively. "A bit more bite, too, although you seem to have that down well."

Katchoo didn't say anything in response, which was pretty much a respectful answer from her. She did, however, nod once and narrow her eyes, bringing her elbows up with an alacrity she wouldn't have displayed under, say, Tambi's tutelage.
Not that she didn't think Ghanima was a little scary; just in a completely different way.

Somehow Rose was still feeling like she wanted to try more. Y'know, because she wasn't going to hurt enough tomorrow. "Looking for someone to spar with?" she asked Ben with a grin. "Promise I won't try to punch you if you laugh at me making a fool outta myself."

However, it excelled at headbutting.
