Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday evening

Why yes, he has already had dinner. Why yes, that's Walter beating some eggs while potatoes and onions fry on the stovetop. What he plans to do with that block of cream chese is anyone's guess.

Pup seemed to be trying to help Walter with his footwork, which required being under them at every possible opportunity.

Matilda smells food. Matilda likes food. She walks into the common room looking hopeful, and cute. She has skills at both. "Good evening Walter. And Pup of course." She smiles at the little hellpuppy. Awww even when he's being a nusiance he's adorable...

Walter poured the eggs in with the potatoes and onions and did a little step that would have been perfect as an Irish jig, but which really meant, "I don't want to tromp on my pet's head."

"Good evening."

"What's that you're making..?"

"It doesn't really have a name," Walter said, pushing Pup out from underfoot with a toe. "It's just scrambled eggs with some onion and potato. Cut up some chunks of cream cheese on top and it's fast and filling. Would you like some?"

"Hey Walter. I see you have food. And a cute puppy."

Walter pulled out a couple of plates and set them out. "You have keen observational skills."

"Yes. I had to develop them to make up for my eye," Pip said. "Are those for more than one person?"

[walter_n_wires]

Walter snorted and pushed a plate toward Pip. "Would I cook for only one person in a common room? This dorm is filled with vultures that can scent real cooking instead of carrion."

Nadia wandered down after her teaching session on the roof.

It was a good warm up, she thought, for having to teach Dance tomorrow.

"Hey, you,"

"Hey." Walter waved a spatula at her. "If you get some hot sauce, you might find this edible."

"I'll have you know that not everything has to be spicy. What are you making?" She went over to lean her chin against his shoulder and generally be in the way.

Which just added to the fun of trying to cook with a hellpuppy underfoot.

"It's just some fried potatoes and onions with eggs and cream cheese. It's filling, not gourmet."

"Hello Butler. Hello Puppy. Hello food."

"Hello Pirate." Walter grabbed a plate and frisbee-tossed it to her.

Pippi snagged the plate out of the air.

"What'cha makin'?"

It's good she didn't let him down with the catch. "Fills-your-stomach-food-with-no-name. Do you want some?"

Third floor, plus food being made, equals curious twins. They wandered down the hall sniffing. What a strange smell...

Walter was just loading something eggy onto plates and waved a spatula at the twins. "Food?"

"Sure." They totter over to take a stab at the odd-smelling food. "Onions. That's what it was. We could smell them all the way down the hall."

[walter_n_wires]

The talking in unison was a bit peculiar, but Walter shrugged it off as one of the mysteries of twindom. "Eggs, onion, potatoes. Cream cheese on top. I've already had to make a second batch, have as much as you'd like."
