Fifth Floor Common Room, Saturday morning

Oct 09, 2010 07:29

The fall trip didn't start until tomorrow, but Bruce was already completely packed. Honestly, he was probably packed too early and too effectively because, ahem, he found himself having nothing to occupy his time after he finished his morning exercises. This left him in the undesirable position of trying to find something to take up some of his ( Read more... )

For her part, Cara didn't exactly have a lot to pack and force of habit meant most of it lived in her pack to begin with.

"Bruce," she said with a nod, before tilting her head to one side as she eyed the television. "Those are very short skirts." Not that she was complaining, exactly.

"It's one of the things that makes cheerleading worthwhile," Bruce mused. "Good morning, Cara."

"So that's cheerleading." That jumping and shouting made slightly more sense when performed by humans instead of drunken squirrels. Slightly. "Not that I'm one to complain about half-naked women, but what's the point?"

"It started out as a way to make sure the home crowds were excited enough during sporting events," Bruce said. "But it's turned into a legitimate athletic competition since then. Now a good cheer routine is essentially team stunt gymnastics."

Unlike everyone else Maladicta didn't pack yet. But that was only because there wasn't much to pack. Other than the bags of coffee.

This Vail place might not have any. You never knew!

Whiiiich would be why she was wondering into the common room and pausing to watch the strange bouncing women. "What are you watching?"

"The television decided to stay on cheerleader movies," Bruce said, not looking up from his puzzle. "They're not very good."

"...That little club has moving pictures about what they do?" That was disturbing.

"The movie came before the club, if that helps at all," Bruce explained.

"Good morning, Bruce," Faramir greeted. His attention was drawn towards the television and it remained there as there were girls dancing in skirts. Very, very short skirts. Dancing. In short skirts.

"What are they doing?"

No, Gondor did not have miniskirts. Nor did they have cheerleaders.

"Good morning," Bruce said. "They're cheerleading. Badly."

Yes, they were krumping. That just didn't look good no matter what.

"It appears like they might hurt someone," Faramir remarked. The movements were rather strange, but the skirts remained... short.

"If they do, it's only to create dramatic tension," Bruce said. "But actual cheerleaders train hard to make sure they don't kill each other."
