"If you get a piece of paper," she announced, "don't read it out loud, don't show it to your neighbor, don't drop it on the floor. Consider it classified information

Well, yes. Katchoo was, as it happened, around. Trying to look like there was nothing out of the ordinary about having had to shoot alligators away from the tree Sarah had been in on Friday, but around.

Sarah waited until most of the class seemed distracted, then said, almost under her breath, "You were good on Friday."

Katchoo's jaw and shoulders tensed, but she tried to force herself to relax though possibly not in time.

"Thanks," she said less grudgingly than she might have were she less aware of who Sarah was. "Who knew I had that in me, huh?"
