Janet unlocked the clinic, set a pot of coffee brewing, and started studying while she waited for anyone who needed help to arrive.

Sam walked into the clinic, carrying her homework and two large cups of coffee. She plopped down at a table near Janet. "Hey. Mind if I keep you company?"

"Never," said Janet. She grinned. "How's it going?"

"A bit boring, and Professor Lyman's evil, but fine otherwise," Sam replied, taking a sip of coffee and offering Janet the other cup. "Oh, and Lee's spent the last week being interrogated for details about Eighth. They've determined he's a security risk and he won't be allowed to return to Fandom High."

"Why's he evil?" asked Janet. "Ooh, coffee." She reached eagerly for the mug and took a long drink. "I ran out ages ago and I've been falling asleep ever since. Wait, what? Lee? Who's determined he's a security risk? And they're pulling him from the school?"
